I Madé Surya

I Madé Surya, Balinese, is the eldest son of a Hindu priest and has been dancing at temple festivals since he was child. He works as a cultural guide through Danu Enterprises, which he co-founded with his wife, Judy Slattum. Surya also teaches mask dance and carving in Northern California. He has his Bachelor of Science degree from Udayana University. Surya is also founder of Bali's Mountaineering Club and works with film and video crews as a translator and advisor.
